In Barcelona you may come across two similar but different documents. We explain the difference and tell you which one you need.
The main document, valid across Spain. It certifies and legalises the installation. You need it to set up electricity, increase power, switch from single- to three-phase or after a panel refit.
It exists only in Catalonia and complements the CIE. It's a recognition of an existing installation: required, for example, when changing the holder of an old installation or restoring supply after a period of inactivity.
